3rd January 2005 Windsurfing: Ynyslas, Golf Course car park Wind Direction: SW Wind Stength: 12-20 knts Surf / Sea State: 1-2 ft Air Temperature: 9 Sea Temperature: 8 Weather: cloudy Max Speed: Distance Covered: First session for quite a while. I was hoping for a bit more wind so that I could catch some flat wtare in the estuary but it was a very marginal day. Hung around a bit as it was blowing about 10-12 knots when I arrived. Rigged up at about 1pm and hoped the wind would fill in a bit. There were loads of people kiting today, indeed the Borth massif was massif... Decided to give it a go and had a few under powered runs but after a short while it picked up a bit. Nothing special today just tried to stay on the board as long as possible and tried to stay up wind but it was tricky until the wind picked up. At about 3-3.30pm it filled in to 20 knots and maybe higher for a while as my 6.4m was over powered, so feeling a bit tired I packed up with everyone else. |
